Teacher Training Modules
Our mission is for all yoga teachers to confidently support pregnant and postpartum people in their yoga classes. We want pregnant people to feel seen and safe in the yoga classes they know and love.
-
We offer focused modules that can be tailored to your 200 or 300 hour yoga teacher training.
-
Choose sections on prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, or a combination of both.
-
Modules range from 4 hours - 12 hours in length depending on the needs of your training.
-
All modules are taught live online and are tailored to your training schedule.
We believe in learn-by-doing! Trainees should be prepared to teach (and have fun doing it!) in our modules. There will also be thorough lecture and engaging group discussion. Students will learn how to safely and skillfully adapt for these populations and support mothers in their yoga practice for these unique and transformative stages of life.
Trainees will leave these modules feeling empowered, informed and confident supporting pregnant and postpartum students in their yoga classes. They may even be excited about this population and go on to teach perinatal specific classes.
About the Instructor & Teaching Style
Kari Kittinger (E-RYT-500, RPYT, YACEP) has nearly 15 years of teaching experience with a specialization in yoga for women's health including prenatal, postpartum and perimenopause. Her focus is mothers navigating every stage of the journey from trying to conceive to seeing the last child out of the nest.
Her teaching is rooted in tradition yet backed by science and her own 20+ years of experience with yoga as a lifestyle. Kari enjoys offering a realistic and fun approach that resonates with students. Drawing on her background as a yoga therapist specializing in women's health and her extensive work in perinatal yoga, Kari weaves together courses that include anatomy, movement, breathwork, nervous system support and much more to give students a strong foundation to support mothers in their classes. She also understands the practical realities of teaching yoga classes and trying to support different populations within one class and guides students through overcoming fear or intimidation. Her modules are fun, cohesive, organized and an inspiring learning experience for all trainees.
"My approach is warm and down-to-earth. I open the conversation around perinatal students in group yoga classes and provide practical, easy-to-implement tools backed by comprehensive foundational knowledge of perinatal yoga. YTT students leave feeling confident and clear about how to safely teach perinatal students while helping them feel seen, supported, and welcomed for continued attendance throughout all stages of pregnancy and postpartum." - Kari
